Favorite Jumps/ Spins?
I was just wondering, what were your guys favorite jumps and spins? Spin combinations? I like the axel as it is my highest jump. FOr single spins I love doing camels. My favorite spin combination is actually one that I am still developing. It is camel, sit Biellmann (don't try that without PLENTY of stretching), back camel, back scratch. It is prolly not too difficult for all of you great skaters but for me (I'm in like freestlye 4 or something) it is all I can do to make it to the biellmann part without falling over! (My coach is a maniac who makes me try things that are like way advanced for my level but I love him!)

My favorite jump is the flip. It's always come a lot more easily to me than the other jumps. The Y-spin is definitely my favorite spin. Oh, and I've never been able to do a Biellman spin-ever!

My favorite jump is the flip and the ONLY spin I like, as I hate spinning, is the layback.

Jumps:
My favorite single was always the lutz, but as a double it isn't. The double loop is something I can pull right off after any jump - it's my absolute favorite! And I've worked on some triple sals and triple loops and I definately like the loop more (but I don't like single loops so much...go figure!)
Spins:
ANYTHING except the flying camel! My coaches keep trying to work on it with me but I've had the same bad habits for like 4 or 5 years. ICK - it's NOT a pretty spin, I don't jump at the right time and it's slow as molasses - but it's getting a little better slowly.
I do like the layback and sasha's trademark spin at the end of most of her programs. Camel-sit-back sit is always a good combo for me too.

hmm my favorite jumps would have to be double loop, double sal, and axels... used to be double toe but then I realized the I DON"T KNOW HOW I DO THEM, they just HAPPEN. I don't feel anything, just pick and then land. So now they aren't that fun, I like to actually feel the jump lol.
spins. oh dear.. i could go on all day lol, I love spinning... bielmanns, all variations of laybacks...back sits... twisters... and then combinations... camel/sit/backsit/Y-spin. also layback/camel/back twister. But man thinking about this makes me want to skateeeee. ahhh. we went on vacation then I got sick so i haven't skated in 2 weeks! And I have to study tomorrow so I won't be skating until tuesday . hmm but maybe i just might anyway.

lol reading this makes me want to skate as well, but I think I have rehearsals for the summer skating show tongiht YAY! Otherwise I never get to skate on Sunday. I hate the flying camel as well, but I hate the butterfly sooo much more, I can do them both pretty well but there just isn't anything fun (in my opinion) about throwing your head at the ice (unless its a cartwheel) and yes, I know that you are supposed to keep your head up during a butterfly. btw. whats a twister spin? And what does IMO mean (I saw it on a post somewhere today but can't for the life of me figure out what it means)

Hehe I just started learning singles, and the only ones I know how to do are toe-loop and salchow. But so far I like salchows better! And for spinning I like sit-spins, although I can only get a few rotations before falling!

I don't know what the technical name is for it lol, maybe it is crossfoot? But at our rink we call them twisters, mainly back twisters. it's where you're doing a backspin but instead of your free leg being in front it is crossed behind and extended straight, but the leg you're spinnig on is bent. usually the arm of the leg that you're spinning on is extended to the side and the arm that corresponds to your free leg is up above the head lol. I do them a lot after combinations b/c I"m really the only one at the rink that can actually do one and hold it for awhile (at least out of the people that I see skating regulary), and my coach loves it on me so that encourages me to tack them onto a lot of combinations, too.

jumps and spin
We do that spin with the leg crossed behind (but just on the regular leg, the right is crossed behind) and we call it a corkscrew.
My favorite jump is the toe loop since I can get it all together on that jump and its my cleanest and highest.
My favorite spin the the scratchspin because after months of fighting, I now own that spin!
