I don't really catagorize the way I dress. It's not easy to find things that fit my body type, so when I find a store that makes pants that fit me right, I tend to get stuck in the store. And this is my main love of AE...though I have been shopping there for years, WAY before it got to be such a popular place. My style changes from day to day, you really never know what you might see me in, except for something that is extremely revealing...Shelly don't wear that!

Anyway, I think that everyone wears clothes differently. My sister could wear the exact same outfit as me and they would still look like different styles. We both add our own personalities to it.

Ok, I shall shut up now!

You know what bothers me? When people say just because you shop at AE or A&F your style isn't origional or your own. I don't know if you have noticed but Hot Topic is very popular...And you see it alot with the punk kids...So that might not be to origional either.

This is my out look on it. There are not enough shops or styles of clothes for every single person to have thier own style...Some maybe sim. but just because you shop at A&E or A&F doesn't mean you can't put your own twist on it and make it your own.

ps. This is for the person who said their friend gets them a dis. Well, I don't know what the AE stores are like there but I only get discount on girls stuff if I buy stuff for friends I have to pay full price. My Man. told me it's that way at all AE store's. If this is true then your friend could have gotten fired for getting you a discount...Sweet deal though. Just be careful because if she gets caught it will suck for both of you. ;-)

I think "preppy" clothes are harder to make "your own" but that's just my opinion. I say that, in having your own original style, it doesn't matter so much what stores you shop in, it's what you BUY from the stores. You can buy some really awesome stuff from stores like, JCPenney's and Kmart!

On Sunday, I bought this AWESOME purse from Kmart, and I mean awesome. I don't have a picutre of it, but it's not Grandmaish or anything, it's really ME.

And I'm not exactly a wallflower with my style. I don't really have an actual style, you couldn't say, "oh, she's a prep" or, "she's really punk" or anything like that about me. They just say, "Um, yeah, that's Dana."

PS Not saying anything mean about Grandma's, I was just expressing that my style is completely different than most people of that age!

yeah I'm 'unclassifiable' too lol. you can't put me in one set category. though there are some styles i do avoid, like the whole punk/goth look. I'm not saying that's bad, but that's just not me. I like colors, I guess you could say girly in a way, but you know, not like waaay overboard either. Idk, I prob. don't make sense!! heh. but anyway my point is, like all of you, I don't limit myself to one type....I wear, like maddi said, what I wear because it a.) fits and b.) looks nice!! oh and is reasonable too!!! I'm not going to spend all the money I made in a week on clothes just so I can be ahead of everyone at school, I like to shop but I'm also practical and I don't just go out and buy stuff without really looking around.

I am so glad I'm not in high school anymore...Nobody cares what I wear!!

But really, I think people can wear all sorts of different styles. I've never been one to say I dress preppy, or punk or whatever. I just buy what I like, and I think I have clothes that fit into lots of different styles. Also, I think you can shop at the same place as lots of other people and still be original. Things won't look the same on everybody, and I agree with whoever said that people can put their own unique twist into what they wear.

yeah, that's exactly the same with me. I'll be girly sometimes and wear skirts and all that but other times put on a band shirt and jeans are a sweater. It depends on what I feel like. I get stuff that's fashionable but stuff that I like and look good in too. Like I know American Eagle is really popular and I do go there too but I get stuff that I think is cute and looks good on me. Like their underwear is really nice. And their pants don't fit me so then I go to Hollister for pants. Forever 21 for skirts. ect... each store has something different that I like. So I don't go to one particualr store

As for stuff I want/have
