Alissa Czisny will grab gold medal
It looks like Alissa Czisny is practicing really well, and trying 3+3!! Kimmie is just so, so,... I predict that Alissa will unexpectedly grab gold medal when eveyrbody is writing her off.
Rachael Flatt will also likely mdal because of her 3lutz+3toe combination jump.

It was an early morning practice for the Senior Ladies this morning, which meant coffee, more coffee and o.k., one jelly roll for me.
Kimmie seemed to be warming up just fine this morning during the 7:00 am practice, at least until her music started. “It was loss of focus,” Pam Gregory said of Meissner’s less than perfect run through. Gregory did allude to the fact that Spokane will not being seeing the triple axel in competition as it can be too costly of a mistake. Be on the look out for triple lutz, triple toe combination, we got the go light there.
A definite practice highlight was Alissa Czisny’s elegant rendition of Sabrina. It was well choreography and beautifully interpreted. Later in the practice Czisny executed an effortless triple lutz, triple toe combination and be sure to watch this girl spin. She is one of the best in the event.
Another skater of interest was Rachael Flatt. This blond fireball stands at 4’9” and is coached by Tom Zakrajsek in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She landed three triple lutz, triple toe combinations in a row and has it planned for both short and long programs.

Glad Alissa is practicing well! It would be really cool to see her win the gold or even get the silver since not many are expecting her to do too well.

Well, that news was refreshing. Now it finally seems like there may actually be some competition in the ladies division. I'm glad to hear that Alissa is skating well in practices and that she has a surprise triple-triple. I don't know very much about Rachel Flatt, but if she has triple-triples planned for the short and long programs Kimmie will really have to work hard to win. I wish them all luck, but I wish Alissa the most luck of all.

Good for Alissa! This girl is awesome! It would be wonderful if she took the gold...my dream podium for senior Nationals has her at the top, lol. No matter where she places, I hope she does really really well! Her spins and spirals are just exquisite!

Here's Rachel Flatt, she's a jump bean with horrible line and sloppy posture, spins, spirals. She's not my cup of tea, but I do believe she'll outjump a lot of seniors such as Bebe, Emily or even Kimmie if she makes mistakes which is quite likely.

Alissa is the only senior I'll be cheering on. I want her to get that gold medal badly.

Rachael is not likely to beat Kimmie, but Alissa has the potential if she lands all her jumps clean.

I'm glad Kimmie is skipping the triple axel. I'd rather her do something else than see her fall on it like she has done a few times lately if I'm remembering correctly.

Wow, I'm really glad to hear that about Alissa! I really have my fingers crossed for her to have some great performances here, I would be thrilled if she made the podium. Her spins really are some of the best in the business...IMHO she spins circles around Kimmie.
As for Rachael Flatt...meh, I'm not convinced she's so much of a medal threat. She seems to lack the polish the other girls have, and one triple-triple does not by any means guarantee her a good placing when Kimmie and Alissa and who knows who else are planning the same combo. But hey, you never know.
I think Kimmie would be crazy to try the 3axel here...if she does everything else she can do, she shouldn't need it to win, and it is far to inconsistent to risk it when it's not necessary.

Kimmie is good but I prefer Alissa's skating over Kimimie's. It's just the jumps that always seems to do her in. The rest of her skating is amazing. Even though I think Kimmie will take the gold I'd really like to see Alissa do well and hopefully medal.

I agree with the above posters I am glad to here that Alissa is doing well. I still think Kimmie will win but it would be great if she got a medal. I would love to see her win but I don't wan't to get my hopes up.

Alissa has had great practices before, unfortunately, this does not necessarily translate into a great performance. But, we'll find out soon.
