Was there a qualifing round? I read in "Figure Skating Now" that when Alexei Yagudin skated at SLC he won the qualifing round.

So was there one?

They must have made a mistake, there is no QR at the Olympics, only Worlds and Alexei did win his Qualifying Group at the 2002 Worlds.

FS NOw has lots of typos..they said that Maria Butyrskaya won the GPF in 2000..when Irina really won it  And they called Philip Dulebohn "John Dulebohn".

And they said that sasha was born on oct. 28 and that she made several errors in her olys free when it was just the one fall and everything else was really good.

On the other hand, maybe I don't want this book! Isn't Philip like a nickname for John though? Something like that!

I saw a little article about sasha in the Detroit News and they sayed she got 3rd at the Olympics which is untrue because she got 4th. This is just anouther example how the media can get stuff really twisted.
