I was just re-watching Michelle's performance at Campbell's and I just realized a whole bunch of things I hadn't before. I don't mean to gush, but I just HAVE to (lol) Sorry if I make some of you sick:

- I absolutely LOVE the beginning pose and arms movements - they make her look so strong and goreous - and the look on her face - omg!! She look's so determined and happy.

- I realized Michelle does look pretty good in yellow. I didn't think so at first, because she had never worn it before, but I think now that I am used to it she looks really good in it.

- OMG her spins were so centered!!! If you just watch her skates while she's spinning, you realize that they stay in the exactly the same place, rotating. And when she does a spin combo, she moves the slightest bit in changing spins. I LOVE the posisiotn of her spins. She looks so angelic and strong.

- I thought her jumps were great too! Even though her back leaned forward in one and she turned her 3/2 into a 2, I thought the rest of her jumps were very strong and she was very tight in the air. She had a nice landing and a good position in the air.

- Andlast but not least - OMG THE FOOTWORK!!!!! It is soooo beautiful! I absolutely LOVE it!! In the beginning I didn't, but now I realize how beautiful it really is. She looks so great doing it, and the positions are just perfect!!!

Ok, ok. So I *kinda* gushed, lol. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, and that's mine. :D For the people who thought she didn't do well, or her choreography was lacking, I'm sorry but certainly DO NOT find that true. I think it was beautiful, and when my cousin and I were watching it last night, the first thing she said about her was "Michelle has her fire back!" I totally and completely agree. And when Michelle was being interviewed about Nationals, I think she will be there. "I made a list of things I wanted to do. And Nationals was, well, near the top of the list. And if I feel that I'm ready.....I'll be there. (smiles)" I think she will totally be there! YEA!! MICHELLE'S BACK FOR AN AWESOME SEASON!!!!!

I'm glad you're glad cause when our favorite skaters do us proud, its a great feeling.
Personally, I think MK is skating in the very "free" mode, she's happy again & so on. However, I do wish she still had Lori around to really make her programs more intricate & dramatic again. There is such a difference between Sasha's LP & MK's in my opinion- in terms of difficulty in choreography- Sasha has that over MK. Don't take my opinions in an offensive way, I just know that the international judges want to see innovative & difficult choreography, but they won't respond the same to choreography that "covers all the necessary bases in a wonderful way"-thats nice but no cigar, especially w/ all the talent that exists today in ladies skating. The fact that Michelle decides to pick up a coach in a very casual manner & proclaims that her new LP is choreographed by self & friends- really has to make you wonder whether she's let her "freedom" style of skating go to her head in a way that diminishes the way she used to skate when coached/choreographed by Frank & Lori.
