It says on the USFSA site that Ye Bin Mok is injured, and that Amber Corwin is going to take her place at Skate America. Poor Ye Bin! Eeeeeeeh, I hope that she's okay. I hope Amber does well too! She had a great SP at Nationals (she sooo got robbed!). Anyhoo, just wanted to let you guys know.

A new dairy entry is up from Yebin and she wrote that she has a stress fracture on her 4th left lumber. :( (http://www.yebinmok.com/diary.html) Her doctor said it was a common injury among figure skaters, ballerinas, and gymnasts. She is expected to be healed in about two months.
Don't forget to leave her a message in her guestbook!

((Sending good healing vibes in Ye Bin's direction))
I agree that Ye Bin is a beautiful skater to watch. Does anybody know the recovery time on her injury?

It sounds like the same kind of injury Sasha had. Since she pulled out of a competition that is almost 3 months away I knew it had to be somewhat serious. She can recover like Sasha did though if she follows the doctor's orders. Good Luck to her.

I had/have a stress fracture in my 5th Lumbar, but it is a condition. She could have a condition called Spondylolysis, which occurs in gymnasts, dancers, and figure skaters, which is basically a permanent stress fracture, but as long as it doesn't hurt then she's fine.
