She came to my rink to work with one of the coaches! She looks a lot like her sister, and she skates exactly like her! She is really nice too! She has a 2 Axel, 3 Sal, 3 Toe, and I think a 3 Loop. I think she can cheat 3 Flip and 3 Lutz. She's really good! :)

That's so cool, although I bet she would be an awesome skater, Sarah has probably helped her alot.

It was the 76th Annual Middle Atlantic Figure Skating Championships hosted by the Skating Club of New York... it's the oldest competition in the entire country.

Speaking of Emily Hughes, I was at the library the other day and I saw this book called "I Am A Skater" and it just looked like some random young girl who was a skater... I picked it up to look at because I thought the girl looked a lot like Sarah Hughes and I was curious... but yeah, it was Emily, and the book had a lot of pictures of her practicing, with her family, and with skaters at COI. I have no idea when this book came out, but it probably isn't that recent because they referred to Sarah as a "world-class skater" but not "olympic champion".

I hope Emily has as much success as Sarah :)

Yes, I agree. Lots of good luck goes to the sisters, Emily and Sarah, from me. :)

I don't think Emily works with Robin Wagner, who coaches and choreographs for her?

According to Louis...

Her coach is Bonni Retzkin.

Never heard of her! lol It's gonna be like Robin - no one knew who she was either until Sarah became a major senior level skater!

Maybe, but I bet that she might become a world class skater too someday :)

At Middle Atlantics she had this little "posse" hovering around her. All these platinum blonde women in bright blue coats.. I guess her coach(es)... very strange though.. hmm *shrugs* Ohhhhhh well~! Best get back to "The Scarlet Letter".. or not... heh heh *evil laugh*

Which event? ;)

You all gotta tell me who to look out for and which event next time! I'll be at Regionals only a little bit, so I'm not sure if I'll get to see either of you skate (Sashastar917 - doing regionals?). :(

You could say I have no interest in attending Skate America this year. :p

I competed preliminary at mids, but I do't remember what letter group cause I have absolutley no memory for those kinds of things. I was supposed to go to regionals, but then I switched rinks and coaches and I didn't have time to test and get a new program and all that. But I may be going just to watch my friends compete, though.

No. :(

And Skate America will be in Reading, PA for 2003 - I'll likely go for that too. ;)

I'll just have to see you in 2005! I sure hope Dustin drags himself to Atlanta somehow for 2004 US Nationals.

Ashley
