He talks about Marshals, the GPF :(, and not much about skating, but that's OK.

I learned some astonishing factoids off his site (http://www.figureskatersonline.com/johnnyweir/profile.html). I knew he started skating at age twelve, but I didn't realize that meant he tested Juvenile his first year, and made Jr Olympic team in both freestyle AND pairs before having finished his second skating year!! That's insane!!

JWe also has a powerful quote on his site, and I e-mailed him with the hope that the quote will describe him:
I enjoy reading your site. I just found your quote:
"Upon the brink of a wild stream, he stood and dreamt a mighty dream."
-- Aleksandr Pushkin
I hope that the quote describes you this weekend as you're about to step on the Nationals Ice!

Your skating makes my heart smile! xxx:angel:

REQUEST: I know this isn't johnny fans, and certainly also that JWe's results this year have been wanting, but if y'all don't mind, let's keep the Evan/Johnny comparisons in the Nationals thread, and you know, just keep this thread with nice friendly good wishes and stuff to someone who if nothing else, is a friend of Sasha's. :sasha:

I love his skating too. I really always hope he skates well and wins. I believe he does best when he is not distracted.

He is enormously talented.

I really liked reading that journal. I read it the day he posted it. He had lots to tell us about!

I'm hoping he wins Nationals and I wish him the best of luck. I adore his skating. Also for those of you who haven't listened to his Nationals press conference you definitely should because it is a very interesting press conference, some parts being funny, some even sad, but it's a great press conference overall and very informative.
Part 1 (http://www.spokesmanreview.com/skate/blog/?postID=628)
Part 2 (http://www.spokesmanreview.com/skate/blog/?postID=630)
Part 3 (http://www.spokesmanreview.com/skate/blog/?postID=632)
Evan's is up too although unfortunately his is much shorter and I wish they had asked him more and better questions, but oh well. The majority of it was about his injury.

Anyways yeah.. Johnny's site is really great.. He actually answered my question to him for the Q&A. I just asked him the really simple question of who are his favorite US skaters, haha. Sasha made his list for favorite US Skaters and favorite friends from the US :) . His Q&A is very interesting as well so if you haven't ever read it I suggest that if you are a fan of his you do  .

Thank you very much for posting this. :) Johnny's skating is just lovely to watch, and he has even grown on me as a person in the past year. This journal entry in fact is polite and well-worded, and it was a pleasure to read. It's unfortunate that he had to miss a whole slew of performance opportunities in a country that he loves so much, but I hope that a similar opportunity will come to him in the future so that he can enjoy it! All the best to him at Nationals! Thank you for the press conferences, Emily (that's your name right, ems_loves_sasha? :D)!
