I haven't read any. I always thought biographies were supposed to be boring:lol: Even though I love to read. Are they really good, like worth reading or not?

well Im obsessed with everything skating so yes to be they are extremely worth reading lol

I dont know you might find them boring, but it tells a lot about the skaters when they were younger and like, what they had to go through to get to the high level and stuff, or like setbacks they had

I love them lol

I haven't read any but I so want to! Unfortunately I have so little time for reading now ): But I'd totally love to read Sasha's of course, I've been meaning to get the book for a while, and also Michelle's and Scott's and Tara's and probably other people who I don't have even written an autobiography!
Btw Mara since you've read all those...which of those were actually written by the person themself, and which were just, you know, dictated or something? That's probably not the right word, but you know how some people don't really write their own autobiographies?

yeah ummm obviousley sasha wrote hers, brian wrote his and tara and michelle both wrote theirs. IM not sure about scott but IM pretty sure he did because I really remember him talking about his cancer and stuff, like in deatil about how he felt and stuff so Im sure he wrote it.

Sasha's and the Biography of the 1961 figure skating team that died in the plan crash. Mara you should definitely read that. It's called frozen in time (http://www.amazon.com/Frozen-Time-Enduring-Legacy-Skating/dp/1578602602/sr=8-1/qid=1167890226/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-9531278-4467061?ie=UTF8&s=books).

Anyone who calls themselves a skating fan must read My Sergei. It is beautiful and sad but at the same time seeing Katya now and how happy she is, it is a nice story.

I think Sasha's was not really written by her -- probably bits of it and then using information by a ghost writer, the other person credited in the book... Sasha Cohen WITH... I forget, Amanda Maciel? Something like that. I'd find it hard to believe that while competing she wrote her book, same with Kwan.

It's too bad that you can only buy Sasha's books with a credit card... :( Her book likes me fantastic, but onfortunately...

I think those are called autobiography, since the skaters did participate themselves in the writting.

Here are a few more if you are interested in reading about skaters:
Peggy Fleming
Katarina Witt

and a semi biograph: The Second Mark

I read Sasha and Michelle's and other books that have parts of skaters autobiographies and biographies in them.

Sasha's was not written by Sasha herself, despite being called an 'autobiography.'

A coach at my rink actually knew the people who died in that crash personally. My mom read the book but didn't want me to read it because it's pretty sad I guess.

That's what I was talking about when I asked which of the books were actually written by the skater themself :) A book can be an autobiography, still not actually written by the person themself, just with their input or something.
