i thought this would or maybe quite interesting to post about. um, hope you get what i mean, it's kind of like which 'retired' skater do you wish you could bring back to the ice and see him/her compete again?

i think i would bring back 'Denise Biellmann', if im not wrong she has stopped competiting right? yeah, but that's who i would bring beack to the ice, what about you? :D

Oksana Baiul, she has taken several off-ice interests in the past year, and I do miss her.I'm tempted to also say Anjelika Krylova & Oleg Ovsyannikov, except from several accounts of what I read,as well as saw in photos,in recent years he has put on more than a little weight,so that dashes that dream.

Nancy Kerrigan...she totally had it in her to win the Olympic gold medal.
Sonja Henie. Though I've never seen her skate, but she was the one that made figure skating noticed. I'd love to see her skate.
Personally, I think it'd be fun to see all the top skaters skate at their peak.

Nancy Kerrigan, Tonya Harding, Sonja Henie, Irina Slutskya, Fumie Suguri, Shizuka Arakawa, Oksana Bauil, Kristi Yamaguchi, Michelle Kwan, Sasha Cohen, Peggy Fleming, Denise Beillmann, Dorothy Hamill, Carol Heiss, Tara Lipinksi, Sarah Hughes, Nicole Bobek, Fleur Maxwell, the list goes on.... Wouldn't it be awesome to see them all skate at their best? But then again we never can, but it is a wistful dream. Then again...what we could do is get each one's best performance and then vote on whose was the best. But then again...it's just a wistful dream.

I'd like to bring back Madge Sayers. She got a silver at Worlds in 1903 -- shocked everyone, because women were not supposed to be interested in competitive sports, let alone do well at them -- and demonstrated to the ISU that women should be allowed to compete. I don't know how well she would do -- if she was one of the skaters who excelled more in figures than in free skating -- but at taking on the ISU, I think she would have no equal.

oo so many. Sonja, Kristi, Kyoko Ina, Midori, Nicole, Kurt, Scott, Todd, G & G, Torvil & Dean, and more.

I would bring back Kristi Yamaguchi. She was a great skater and an inspiration, even to Sasha!

I was never a fan of Nancy Kerrigan but she did skate beautifully at the Olympics. Oksana was great when she was young. Once she grew and her body transformed into a young woman, her jumps went out the window. Of course, sadly there was her drinking, etc. I would love Kristi to come back. She was so consistent and she could also do the triple/triple way back then.

There are only 2 skaters really that I would dearly love to see back on the ice...Alexei Yagudin and Tara Lipinski.

Alexei because...well....do I even have to explain?? :D He's the best skater of all time and I would love to see more of her masterpiece programs.

Tara Lipinski because she was amazing at just 15!! Had she stuck around for another 4 or 8 years its untelling what she could have done...had she stayed eligible and not had the hip injury it is highly likely she would be a 2 time (or 3 time) Olympic Gold Medalist about right now. I guess I am just sad that we never got to see her mature on the ice.

Gordeeva/Grinkov and Torvill/Dean. My dad saw both these teams live a long long time ago andhe said they both gave him the shivers they were so amazing.

Lu Chen and Sarah Hughes.
Lu Chen's artistry was at least as good as that of Michelle. Her tech was solid and standard.
Sarah was also an amazing skater.

I have to agree with SASHATARAFAN.

I would absolutely love to see Yagudin come back to competitive sakting. He was just so amazing. Everything about him was just flawless and I would have love to have seen him win another Olympics and another World title. He's just awesome and was such a real and genuine contribution to the sport that can never be replaced.

I'd also love to see Tara come back. She was so amazing at JUST 15! We can only wonder what she would have done at her next Olympics. I wish she could have stayed.

Gosh, she was good, wasn't she? I know Bezic did her choreography. In 1996 she was devastated when MK won the world championship with "Salome". Later, when she skated in the pro championships she lost her jumps. I must say her artistry was superb and loved her performances better than Tara's or Sarah's. Just my opinion.

A lot of 'old' dancers, basically, the dancers before COP but especially Marina and Gwendal!! I hope Margarita and Povilas stick around, they were basically the only ones worth watching last season, imo. They had it all, expression, emotion, technical difficulty... I so miss the old days of ice dance... (I'd even bring back F-P/M just to have her stare at him when he makes a mistake  )

Michelle:( even though she isn't technically "retired" I have a feeling we won't be seeing her compete anymore...especially since she's having like hip surgury isn't she? ugh...its so sad- but it really shouldn't be because she's done so much, I guess we all just want her to skate forever because her skating is so beautiful! lol

ummm, also oksana baiulk- I was really young when she was competing so I wasnn't really paying attention as much, but I've atched her old videos and stuff and she really was an amazing skater- like if she was from like...NOW you know IM guessing she'd probably be like my favorite!:)

as for the men- I would love to see todd eldredge compete again! I loved his skating- hmmm...and also alexei yagudin, him and plushenko are the best male skaters that ever lived;) like for real- I don't even understand how you could argue that! haha

futurechampion2 mentioned him. Maybe we all focused on Ladies.
By the way, if he came back, plushenko couldn't win as much titles as he win today. Yagudin is an almost unbeatable super skater.
