I like in the same TV market as Kimmie, she was on for a second today. tomorrow Friday they are having a parade (probably small) for her in her (small suburban) hometown.

She was so stopped up she ruptured an eardrum on the flight home (because of air pressure). From the way they talked about it it is something that heals. Does anyone know?
I think she is cute as heck.
Catching the flu and than rupturing an eardrum is rough. Usually a ruptured eardrum heals itself in a few weeks and hearing returns to normal. Sometimes surgery is required but it's fairy simple procedure. :D

I never knew that she had a fever during her long program. That must have been so tough. Might that be why she stumbled on her triple lutz? Usually her jumps are rock solid, and when she falls she has a reason, just in at Nationals when she fell on her double axel. But the media has been concentrating on the top three and Emily... I think she deserves more attention.

Probably not. Even if she skated clean I don't see her having gotten higher than fifth.

Yes! A thread about Kimmie! haha I love this girl. I only live two hours from her so my dream is to meet her...she's got so much talent and I think for being 16 she did really well at the olympics. Yes, her triple combinations didn't go as planned but I was still really proud of her.
I think she's one of the most adorable girls on this planet lol.
I've got what my friends seem to call a "Kimmie Fixation". lol oh well, they can think what they want. I just think she's amazing. :)

I never knew she had the flu at the Olympics anyway she did a great job for skating why she was sick I will be looking forward to seeing more of her.

Wow, thanks for the link! That's cute. I never realised Kimmie had breakfast at Subway every morning. I loved the "... and cookies" part. Nice to know she has a sweet tooth like everybody else :p Can't wait to see the actual commercial some day.

I'm so excited to see her and Sasha skate worlds. And I'll get to see them at Champions on Ice in April!
Kimmie is definitely my favorite skater...Sasha is a close second haha. I love 'em both.

is there some place to find out which shows kimmie will be skating in, as i am also going to an April COI show and would be interested in knowing if she'll be there.

Honestly, I don't know if she'll be at COI. On this website (www.kimmiemeissnerfc.com) it said she would be skating select cities so there's no real way to be sure. However, in interviews, it says she'll be on the tour...I'm not sure what to believe. But I'm praying she'll be there!
Also, if you go to the website up there, click on "kimmie" and then go to schedule, it'll display things she'll be skating in later.

ok, thanks for your help. i read somewhere she will be touring the east coast in april and the west in august, so hopefully that means she'll be coming to hartford!

really? That would be awesome. Hartford...sounds really familiar to me. Is that in MD? Completely random, I know lol.

Hartford's in Connecticut. At least the only one I really know of is. Anyway I think it's a fairly well-known major city so that's why it would sound familiar. In Gilmore Girl's Rory's grandparents live in Hartford and Skate America will be in Hartford this fall.

yeah, hartford is in Connecticut. the springfield show is closer to me (about half an hour) but with my moms schedule this worked out better. and yes, hartford is a fairly well known city.

She did really well in her sp so far at worlds and I really, really hope she keeps it up to take home a medal! I think she can, and so can Sasha. I just hope they don't crack under pressure.

YAY! Kimmie won! And Sasha got third...I'm disappointed but I could see it coming. I don't mean that in a mean way. I just figured something would go wrong, judging from the olympics. she's very capable of better and I know she will continue to improve.
Kimmie, we're so proud! You're simply amazing.
I can't even explain how happy and excited I am!
