I think Emily has the best beillman and Sasha is the next best,especially the one that she did on her exibition. That one might be the best one I've ever seen.

I peronsally think Emily and Sasha's are both equal..They both have really good bielmans.

I think its overused and Ugly I wish it wasn't used so much and no one has a good one.Because it's not a natural move such as a lot of the stretch moves Sasha does that show extreme flexibility.A nice Charlotte or Sasha Spiral is far more a attractive move as is the split move.:sasha:

Sasha has a natural flexibility.....not extreme......You should watch rythmic gymnastics...which is etreme flexibility....

Yeah i agree, the one that Sasha did in her olympic exhibition was one of the best biellmans i have ever seen, it was awesome! I looked for a pic to put on here but i couldn't find one.

I think that it is a very nice move but yes it is over used *cough*Irina*cough* but it is a component that is needed to get the scores up, which is unfortunate because we are forced to watch many unsightly biellmans with the exception of a few beautiful ones

Sasha's is fantastic. Emily's is great now, too. I think Emily's coach really cracked the whip hard on her to improve her flexiblity. It worked; over the past year Emily's stretch has increased dramatically.

i've been wondering this too. but i think the real spelling of it is "Biellmann" because thats how you spell "Denise Biellmann", the one who sorta invented it.

wow, that one was really amazing! you can see how much sasha has improved her biellmann since she first started putting it in her programs. i definitely noticed.

I think for the most part beillmann's are ugly, and abused!

I adore Alissa's spinning, and as far as I'm concerned, she has the best beillmann position of eligible ladies. I think the reason it works so well is because she has long legs and arms, but not very long in the torso. Skaters who aren't long limbed, tend to look "bowed" if that makes any sense, or fold in their backs. Alissa's is closest to the text book exampled of Denise and Lucinda Ruh.

The link to Fluer doesn't do her justice. If you've seen her skate, her positions are unreal! I cannot even explain what she does, but she has a very unique variation to her beillmann that is amazing to watch.

I know people like to pick on Irina's beillmann, but she's amazing because of the speed she maintains. So often the skaters hike up their skate and then fizzle out 3 spins. And Irina can do beillmann on both legs, which is impressive, too!

Alyssa and Fleur are the best in my opinion. Sasha is still working on hers and it is better that it was, and the one in the exhibition, while very slow, was a great position, so she will be at the top of the list quite soon with Fleur and Alyssa. My concern is that sasha is losing her speed on all pof her spins because of all the new positions and COE. A lot of the skaters are having this issue, but Sasha was one who had fast spins that were really a notch ahead of the top ladies (i know irina is fast but her positions leave something to be desired in a lot of them) and I hate to see that going out the window because of COP stuff...

Denise Biellman of course!! But for skaters of today, Sasha has a great one, and I never noticed until you posted that picture, but Emily's is great as well! Irina has a really good one too!
