" In less than three months, some of the world's top figure skaters will make their way to Boardwalk Hall to compete in 2005 Smart Ones Skate America. Skate America is the first of six international stops in the International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series. Each athlete is eligible to score points in two of the six scheduled events. The top eight point-earners in each of the four disciplines (ladies, men's, pairs and ice dancing) then qualify for the Grand Prix Final in Tokyo, Japan, Dec. 16-18. Athletes will vie for a total of $180,000 at Skate America and $1.35 million in prize money throughout the series and the Grand Prix Final.
Fans can take part in the action by playing the “Back to School” scratch-off instant win game. No purchase is necessary to participate or win; however, participants must be 21 years or older to play. A free game piece can be obtained with or without a purchase at any participating tenant at Atlantic City Outlets, The Walk. Gently scratch off the indicated area on the game piece to reveal the prize you have won, which is subject to verification and validation of your game piece as well as eligibility and compliance with the official rules, found on the back of the card and at participating stores. The following are not eligible to participate: employees or their immediate families of the Skate America Executive Committee, Atlantic City Outlets The Walk, SMG, ACCVA, Boardwalk Hall and the Atlantic City Convention Center."
