here is an article:
"Former World Junior ice dancing champion Justin Pekarek led Act I, a 30-member team from Boston, to its first gold medal in the senior division at the International Theatre on Ice competition, held June 24-25 in Burlington, Vt. In the junior division, Russian Theatre on Ice team Lokomotiv won the gold medal, while Houston Ice Theatre (HITS) won in the novice division. Boston's Imagica captured gold in the adult division, and Los Angeles Ice Theater finished first in the inaugural choreographic exercise competition.

Eighteen teams from across the United States joined Lokomotiv, the lone international team, to compete in the event, hosted by the Champlain Valley Skating Club and Vermont Children's Theater on Ice.

According to Pekarek, who was joined on the team by partner Hilary Gibbons, Theatre on Ice is a great way to boost membership in clubs around the country. The program allows a broad range of skaters to participate in something that is a social and fun activity. It's competitive, but it does not require the rigorous training schedule demanded of singles, pairs, dance and synchronized skaters. Therefore, skaters who may have felt they had reached the end of the competitive line still have an option, and they can skate right alongside those just getting started.

Act I of Boston includes skaters from the pre-preliminary level to the senior level and from all disciplines. Tom Lescinski and Pekarek coach the team, and Pekarek and Beth-Anne Duxbury choreographed the “American in Paris” program."
